Extreme Pursuit of Equality

Equality is, of course no doubt, a good thing – or rather it’s a necessity to guarantee each individual’s well-being in a society.

However, it seems to me that recent growing encouragement of equality has, by some entities, been pushed to an extreme level.

The problem occurs when the equality is no longer a base of society, but the end in itself.

Hiring someone based on “gender equality” rather than their actual capacities, accepting students based on “racial equality” rather than their actual potential… all these can lead to another form of inequality.

If we continue to pursue this kind of “extreme equality”, the future president of the country will be one woman, one man, and each gender with every racial/religious/ethnic group exist within the country…
